 Colour idioms 

beet red = rosu ca sfecla

His face will turn beet red if  I laugh at him.

If I fall on the street, my face will become beet red.

black and blue = bruised and beaten 

If you look at a fighter's body,you will see how black and blue she is.

black and white = straightforward / very clearly 

If the rules aren't black and white, nobody will obey them.

to obey (ed) = a respecta reguli / a asculta parintii

obedient  = ascultator 

disobedient = neascultator 

It's black and white all the children have to go to school if they are at school age.

to black out = to faint 

If you don't eat,you will black out.

You will not see and hear, if you black out.

black sheep= oaia neagra 

If he doesn't have kids, he will be the black sheep of the family.

He will be the black sheep of the family, if he doesn't have kids.

to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth = a fi privilegiat / a fi bogat 

If she spends a lot of money on clothes , people will consider her born with a silver spoon in her mouth.

Her friends will not say that she is born with a silver spoon in her mouth, if she buys cheaper things.

to be caught red-handed = a fi prins in flagrant 

to sue(ed) = a trimite in judecata 

to sentence (ed) = a condamna 

She is going to be sentenced, if she is caught red-handed.

If a person is caught red-handed, he/she will be sued.

golden opportunity = the perfect chance 

If I pass the Cambridge exam in highschool, I will have a golden opportunity for university admitance exam.

 It will be a golden opportunity, if you have the job near your home.

to have the green light = to have permission 

If you are an employee , you will have the green light to some discounts.

Weekly you will have the green light to watch Netflix for free if you share the account with me.

to be green with envy = a fi verde de invidie

Disappointment

They will be green with envy, if they see me with such a haircut.

If you are always green with envy, you will ruin your health.

to have a green thumb / to have green fingers = a fi priceput la gradinarit 

If you don't have green fingers, you will not have beautiful flowers in the garden.

You won't have healthy trees, if you don't have a green thumb.
