1. The  Solar System is everything that revolves around the Sun, including it.
2. The closest planet to the Sun is Mercury.
3. The farthest planet to the Sun is Neptune.
4. The order of the planets beginning with the closest to the Sun is Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus,Neptune.
5. The largest planet is Jupiter.
6. " Orbit " means the journey that a planet makes around the Sun.















1. The Moon is  4 times smaller than the Earth. 

2. A natural satellite is any kind of celestial body that rotates around a planet . 
3. There are two types of rotation : rotation around its own axis and translation aroud the Earth. 
4. The lunar phases are : Full Moon, First Quarter, New Moon, Last Quarter
5. The Moon has no its own light, it is lit by the Sun.
6. When the Moon has got the " C " shape it is in the last quarter.
7. When it has got the " D " shape it is in the first quarter.
8. It takes 28 days to orbit around the Earth . 
9. The Moon generates tides ( flux / reflux ) 







The gist is the explanation  is  the existence of day and night as a result of Earth rotation .
Seasons exist because the Earth revolves around the Sun in 365 days.
